Watercolour

Deb began her career as an illustrator working in watercolour and gouache for a textile manufacturer. She paints in a realistic style using extreme values - white highlights and black shadows. Her dry brush technique was used for floral patterns that were printed by rotogravure for consumer products. This style has carried over to some of her digital works.

Urban Sketching

Deb started urban sketching about 10 years ago and spent the entire year of 2023 sketching/reporting about the homeless in Waterloo Region. She has shown these homeless sketches at galleries and art shows in the Waterloo Region. She uses a variety of mediums and papers that will best portray the setting.

Digital Illustration

Deb has been illustrating on the iPad for the last five years. Her broad background in graphic design helped her crossover to this medium, one that she enjoys most. She has illustrated flowers, vehicles, neon & nostalgic signs, street scenes, the homeless, street buskers, market & street food vendors.
